Wedding Photography at the Granby Theater of Shelby & Vince

I had the pleasure of doing the wedding photography for Shelby and Vince on Valentine’s Day! What a crazy day! Tight scheduling and 4 locations made for some blatant disregard for traffic laws in order for me to keep ahead of the newlyweds, but I got all the shots and didn’t get a ticket! (I was driving my super duper turbo Jetta with optional cop cloaking device in order to get the job done!)
Everything ended up at the Granby Theater. But, I shot prep and formals at the Norfolk Waterside Marriott, then on to First Baptist Church in Chesapeake, then to the Chrysler Museum to shoot more formals, and THEN (and only then) did I get to the Granby Theater for the reception. Good thing I ate my wheaties, because I was non stop for the duration.
The REALLY cool part of this wedding is that Shelby and Vince have been together for TWENTY YEARS. That’s a LONG engagement by anyone’s standards. It was so cool to see how in love this couple is after all those years. They REALLY put the R in ROMANCE.
Here are some shots from Shelby and Vince’s wedding photography. It was really hard to decide what to put up on the blog, there are just too many REALLY great shots.
Now, after a 20 year courtship, BOTH Moms were dancing down the aisle singing “They’re Married, They’re FINALLY Married!” (with the same melody as 50 cent – in da club it sounded like to me!) hahaha
Shooting at the Granby Theater was a HUGE challenge but LOTS of fun. The band, Peach Fuzz, was AWESOME.
Best of luck Shelby and Vince! Not that you need it, you have 5 years till your silver anniversary already!
