I absolutely LOVE doing wedding photography at the Cavalier Hotel in Virginia Beach. Not only is it an amazing old Historical Hotel, it’s only a 5 minute walk from our house! I have been all over, on top of, inside, outside, under and through that wonderful old hotel MANY times and I know it like the back of my own hand. It’s just such an interesting place that for a photographer like me, it just fills my creative cup to the brim and allows me to really stretch. It’s also right on the beach, and I am definitely a beach photographer. So, it’s a pleasure every time I get booked to shoot a wedding there.
Jessica and Matt got married on October 11th, 2009! Their wedding ceremony was at Holy Family Catholic Church on Great Neck Road in Virginia Beach (Jessica’s Mother is the wedding coordinator at Holy Family Church). They held their wedding reception at the Cavalier Hotel in Virginia Beach on Atlantic Ave.
This was one truly amazing bride that wanted A LOT of photographs, and LOVED to BE photographed. They set aside ample time for me to really create a body of work for them that they’ll have for the rest of their lives. There are many photos in this article, there was no way to adequately make a snippet of this wedding without hitting all the salient parts of this wedding. Even posting as many photos as I’m doing here, I’m still leaving quite a bit of the PJ work out and just concentrating on the couple primarily and the “normal” parts of a wedding people might think of.
