Williamsburg Lodge Wedding Photography | Annie & Steve

I did the wedding photography for Annie and Steve on Sept 5th, 2009. The Williamsburg Lodge was the site for the HUGE Greek Wedding Reception. Booking this wedding was one of the craziest things I’ve done in a few years. Not overtly crazy mind you, but crazy logistically for me. The preparation photography for the bride (Annie) was in Williamsburg, the preparation photography for the groom (Steve) was in Richmond. The wedding ceremony was held at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Virginia (est. 1917). That was where I did the family formal photography after the ceremony. Then, it was a drive back to Williamsburg to the Williamsburg Lodge for the reception, but not before I took the bride and groom for a long walk around Colonial Williamsburg to do their post wedding - pre reception solo photos. Then, of course, the reception photography itself which was incredible. It was non-stop running around, driving around, carrying camera bags around from 10AM - 2AM.

Then, I got up a 4:30AM after 2 hours sleep and ran the Rock and Roll Half Marathon here at the the ocean front.

Now, THAT’S crazy.

I love doing weddings up in Williamsburg, it’s just a photographer’s dream there. So much to play with. Annie and Steve’s wedding was a blast, their families and friends couldn’t have been any nicer or more enthusiastic.
