Bridal Photography at Norfolk Botanical Gardens of Faith

Faith is getting married in March and just got her dress, so it was time for a trial run at hair, makeup, and getting acquainted with her photographer (me!) at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens.
The Norfolk Botanical Gardens is one of my favorite places to do bridal portrait photography simply because even when there are very few flowers in bloom there are many interesting places to explore and the feral setting just lends itself to this type of photography.
I got there a bit early to scout around the gardens and was playing around with an old camera with an old lens (hence the shot above using my 10.5 mm fisheye lens across the pond toward Baker Hall and Rose Garden Hall. I wonder when the water is going to turn blue again?
Anyway! Faith arrived with her Uncle in tow who had volunteered to help her around along with Faith’s Mom. She slipped into her dress in Baker Hall and then we set about to the fun at hand.
Faith was SO easy to photograph, and here are some of my favorites from the portrait session below:
That last series with Faith standing on the bridge rail took some real negotiations with her Mom! Heck it’s only a 20-30-40 foot drop or so! And windy too! Faith was all over it, and after we did some quick CPR on her Mom, all was well again!
