Joe and Shannon got married on October 25th, 2008 at the Suffolk Virginia private residence of Joe’s parents. Doing their wedding photography posed some big challenges that day. It was raining. (not a drizzle, but a deluge for most of the day and night). The wedding was outdoors, and so was the reception.
Fortunately, we did have a few brief periods of dry skies where I was able to wrangle the appropriate people up for traditional group photos (as requested by the couple) and everything went just fine.
Wedding photography in the rain is definitely difficult, but not impossible. An umbrella, duck tape, and garbage bags go a long way in keeping my cameras dry. (I’m not worried about ME getting wet, but the cameras work MUCH better if kept dry!)
