Paul and Maria are getting married at the end of August and wanted their engagement portraits done on the beach (my personal favorite place) so I met up with them on Sunday around sunset. Maria had been worried all day about the weather turning bad, but these beach portraits turned out WONDERFUL. The weather at the north end of Virginia Beach is so unpredictable with that wind coming off the bay that weather reports are pretty useless. Unless you’ve got a direct line to God, you’re just guessing.
Here are some of my favorite beach portraits from this session.

As you can see, Paul and Maria didn’t have any problem getting REALLY WET during their engagement portrait session. I got really wet too! The waves were awesome and there wasn’t any way to get the shots I wanted without getting wet, so I just got wet (running shoes and all). I see another Trash the Dress session on my horizon for Maria so check back for that.
I shot another bridal session at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens today, and I have another beach portrait engagement session tomorrow. (plus weddings on all the weekends!)
June is REAL busy!
