I had the pleasure of shooting some head shots for a new local wedding coordinator / event planner that has moved to the area from the great state of Texas.
We talked a bit about the look she wanted and I decided to use some window light with a couple of kicker lights to fill in the shadows. Here are a few of my favorite shots from the session.

The look achieved here is done partly in the camera, and partly in post with photoshop cs2. (not to mention what I jokingly called “the Texas tilt” which of course is a slight head tilt). Shooting in window light can yield some great results if you PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE and remember that even though it might look great to the naked eye, once the camera meters the shot, the shadow side is going to be DARK unless you kick some light on it to even out the exposure of the face.
